Course Introduction: Students will be able to gain a deep understanding of the basic concepts, health patterns, and diagnostic strategies of general medicine, understand the application value of general medicine, and familiarize themselves with the contents and methods of the work of general practitioners. During the learning process through the literature search group discussion and other means, to develop the ability of independent learning and critical thinking, ultimately stimulate the interest in the work of general medical care, and maintain the ability of lifelong learning. Course Objectives: Cognitive Teaching Objectives: 1) To be able to gain an in-depth understanding of the basic theories and fundamental knowledge of general medicine, common health problems in general practice; 2) the requirements for the position of general practitioner in the new era; and 3) overview, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment, and management of common chronic diseases in general practice; and 4) General practice management of community emergencies, and general practice medical services for key populations; 5) To be able to have an in-depth understanding of the model of general medical service, the content and mode of work of general practitioners, and the application value of general medicine. Course Outcomes: 1) To develop the ability of clinical thinking in general practice; 2) To be able to develop the ability of independent learning and critical thinking through means such as literature search and study; 3) To stimulate interest in working in Family Medicine and to maintain the ability for lifelong learning.
