This course will introduce students about the modern agricultural development management practices. The course covers topics related to linear and nonlinear programming, agricultural development management tools and familiarize students on American farm management issues. Material will be delivered in the form of class lectures and problem-solving using optimization tools.Pedagogies:Students will be provided a detailed overview of several influential papers on these topics. Where possible, methodologies and data used in these papers will be discussed so that students will have a better understanding of what to expect if they intend to pursue a career as a researcher.Course Outcomes:At the conclusion of the course, students will be exposed to different results, views and methodologies in these important topics.
