课程名称 Course Title
Deployable Space Antenna

"A. COURSE/CATALOG DESCRIPTION Deployable Space Antenna: deployable structures, cable-network structures, pin-jointed structures, computational solid mechanics, form finding, smart structures. B. COURSE OVERVIEW This course is designed for senior students or graduate students who are interested in deployable spacecraft design and analysis. This course will be developed for mastering the basic principles and applications of cable-network structures to solve engineering problems, with emphasis on utilizing form-finding methods. Literature survey, oral presentation and technical report writing will also be included. C. STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES 1. Students will develop an understanding of state-of-the-art research on deployable spacecrafts; 2. Students will gain an ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics; 3. Students will gain an ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice; 4. Students will develop an efficient communicating skill in terms of both oral presentation and technical report writing; 5. Students will gain an ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives D. TEACHING STRATEGIES & COURSE ASSESSMENT Course will be offered through lectures and presentations, using mathematical description of physic laws to uncover the behavior of deployable space antennas. The course will be assessed through technical presentations and final literature survey report. "
