Gas Dynamics course focus on fundamental theories of ideal gases in subsonic, transonic, and supersonic regimes. The course covers topics in isentropic compressible flows and non-isentropic shockwave flows in the following chapters: 1. Introduction to compressible governing equations, 2. Characteristics of subsonic and supersonic flows, 3. Isentropic flows, 4. Normal shockwaves, 5. Moving normal shockwaves, 6. Oblique shockwaves, 7. Prandtl-Meyer expansion waves, 8. Applications of shockwaves and expansion fans. The course will be assessed by homework assignments and exams.
