The Secondary batteries are used wide range usage for industrial application as following some examples, ? Stationary applications: telecom, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), electrical energy storage system, utility switching, emergency power and similar applications.? Motive applications: fork-lift truck, golf cart, railway, and marine, excluding road vehicles.In this course, the principles and characteristics of secondary batteries will be outlined, and their proper use from the viewpoint of industrial application will be shown.In addition, the international standards of Ni-MH batteries as one of the examples for “Global Strategy of the Standardization” will be shown in details.
